Heart for Africa Library

Situated on Heart for Africa's expansive 2,500-acre campus in Eswatini, the new 8,500 sq. ft. library represents a pivotal addition to the organization's efforts in supporting its growing youth population, comprising over 300 orphans and vulnerable children. Recognizing education as a cornerstone of empowerment, the library serves as a vital resource in nurturing the future leaders of Eswatini.

Designed to cater to diverse age groups, the library features stack areas, designated reading spaces, and a computer lab. Mindful of the region's climate, the design incorporates passive cooling strategies for comfort and sustainability. Breeze blocks facilitate natural ventilation and illumination, while a colonnade along the building's facade provides shade. Additionally, shading devices enhance the comfort of the outdoor reading areas as well as shield the breeze block walls from inclement weather.
