The Journey - Welcome Center

Hakima Ministries, in collaboration with Third Lens, has engaged Natalie Ramirez Architecture + Impact Collaborative to provide expertise in master planning and design for a campus of new buildings situated on their expansive 66.5-acre property in Paxton, Florida.

The organization's overarching mission is to create a flourishing community with housing, facilities, and resources dedicated to supporting foster families. The campus project is planned in phases, with Phase 1 including the design of the Welcome Center.

The Welcome Center encompasses two primary components: a welcoming/event space and administrative facilities. The architectural concept employs two intersecting bars, strategically designed to maximize natural light throughout all areas. The Welcome/Event Space bar features a soaring ceiling adorned with exposed wood trusses, fostering an inviting atmosphere, while the administrative bar adopts a more modest stature.
